According to Allsop et. al, capturing a students attention with various visuals in an effective mechanism for students with attention difficulties. My child study student is believed to have some attention difficulties; therefore, it became useful to have a daily schedule present that allowed him the opportunity to look at his daily plan. The schedule was displayed using magnets on the white board and became a daily routine for him to review and be reminded of the upcoming events to keep him focused and on task.
